There is something so special about slowing down long enough to capture the little moments between a mama and her babies. This recent mama + mini session in Spearfish was filled with so much sweetness, laughter, and those in-between moments that end up meaning the most years down the road.


These two little ones were absolutely adorable together. From sitting barefoot in the grass to holding hands and laughing with their mama, every part of this session felt natural and full of personality. One of my favorite things about photographing young kids is letting them simply be themselves. The smiles are bigger, the moments are more genuine, and the photos end up telling the real story of this season of life.


As a family photographer serving the Black Hills area, I always encourage moms to get in the frame. So many moms are the ones taking the pictures, but your kids deserve to have photos with you too. Years from now, these will be the images they hold onto.
